Thunderstorms and Floral Dresses

Here are some photos of my OOTD. It was storming here pretty much all day. I love when it thunderstorms during the day. Except when it causes my shoes to be wet and my hair to frizz up. But alas, today was a good day and this dress made me feel uber-girly all day. I also got to spend most of the day with the BFF...and that was some much-needed girl time as well.

So...I've been wanting a denim shirt for awhile now...and I found one today at Forever21 for $25...however, it fits me a little awkwardly, especially around the collar, and I'm not sure about it...what do you think?

I can't decide if it is worth it to keep it or not...

My New Baby

No...it's not a reallll baby...but it is mine!

I finally did it. One goal of 2011 to check off the list: purchase a DSLR camera.

If you follow me on twitter or facebook I'm sure you have noticed that I've been super stressed out lately...so I decided it was time to do something fun.

While I was playing around with it I decided to try to take a few OOTD photos. I'm definitely going to need some practice with these, but I think I'll get it eventually. You can see so many more colors and details with this camera.

-work is stressing me out beyond belief...but I get by with a little help from my friends (♥ S&S)

-I leave for Vegas in 2 weeks...it will be my first trip anywhere west of Chicago

Bow Chicka Wow Wow

I can't help it. This song is so dirty but I just loveloveLOVE it. Have you heard it? Uber silly which makes it that much more sexy! I'm slightly obsessed. The song definitely has the effect on me that Mike Posner says it will have. ha! :)

Anyway, can you believe I've been gone for another month? I can't! Time is flying. However, I did recently pick up some new spring wardrobe pieces that I wanted to share with you! I do not have photos of myself wearing them yet because, well, Ohio weather tends to be uncooperative. Rest assure that I will have more pictures as soon as it gets warm enough to wear them, though!

I got pretty much all the pieces from both of these outfits...Old Navy had them already put together on their website and I loved both of them. The outfits pictured are from the women's plus size line but since I cannot wear anything from that line, I found alternatives (for most pieces I found the exact same items) in their "regular" women's section. Luckily, though, they have most of these items available in both size ranges...so pretty much anyone can wear them. I also got several other things but I want to save showing them to you for when I actually wear them. I just got really excited about those two outfits.

Anyway, I desperately need to catch up on my blog reading so that I know what is going on with all my fellow bloggers out there! I also need to post more. Hopefully as the school year comes to a close over the next 8 weeks I will have more time!

As for an update on my life...well, things are pretty much the same as when I last posted. I'm super stressed with work but other than that everything is great. :) Hope you're doing well, too, dollies!

Hey everyone! I apologize for my unintentional hiatus! Life has been SUPER crazy lately! I've been running round like a maniac trying to balance work, school, becoming healthier, and attempting a social life! And what do you know, before I knew it a month went by without any posts! 1. There is a guy that I am kind of seeing that I like...a lot. So yay for that. Not really sure where that is going...but I am keeping an open mind.

2. I am getting closer and closer to owning a DSLR each day...yeah tax refund!

3. I am working on my goals for the year...so far I have made some progress on 6 out of my 11 goals.

4. I am super excited that spring is right around the corner! My wardrobe is in major need of some refreshing! I'll keep you updated on any fresh new acquisitions.

I Put On For My City!

Hey everyone! This week has been crazy busy and so unfortunately I have not had much time for blogging. However, I picked up my new copy of Lucky Magazine today only to glance through and see a special city guide on MY CITY! Ok well, maybe not myyy city per say, but it is! I was super excited when I saw this and the article features one of my favorite parts of Columbus, the Short North, and lots of small locally owned boutiques. I just thought this was too cool not to mention.

If you get Lucky's February issue, be sure to check this out. It is a full two-page spread, but I only scanned the first page. Or you could just come to Columbus and experience it all for yourself. I'm always down for a shopping trip. ;)

I'll Be Your Teacher, I'll Show You The Ropes

I would just like to start out by saying that I am very thankful today is Friday. I had a great weak with my students (for the most part), but my body is still trying to get back into work-schedule mode. Which is exactly why I am sitting home alone on a Friday night about to go to bed!

Anyway, I was completely in love with the outfit I wore yesterday. Although you cannot see it very well, I was wearing a collared shirt. I think knowing that will make these pictures look better. I was going for a sort of preppy/vintage-y look.
